Major Single Vehicle Collision in Pickering

Two suffer serious injuries following a single vehicle collision in Pickering.

On Friday, August 14, 2026, at approximately 2:05 a.m., members of West Division responded to a single vehicle collision in the area of Altona Road and Kingston Road. A Nissan sedan was travelling southbound on Altona Road at Kingston Road when it lost control, left the roadway, and rolled over. 

Officers arrived on scene and located the Nissan sedan flipped on its side. Two trapped occupants were subsequently extricated by Emergency Services.

The 18-year-old passenger was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with life threatening injuries.

Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The roads in the area were closed for several hours while evidence was collected. The cause of the collision is still under investigation. Alcohol may have been a factor in the collision.
