Male and Female Arrested for Firearm Following Investigation in Whitby

A male and female are facing charges following a firearm investigation in Whitby.

On Wednesday, September 30, 2026, investigators with the Gun and Gang Unit concluded an investigation into a male and female who were believed to be in possession of a firearm. Both suspects were located in the area of Dundas Street East and Garden Street and taken into custody without incident.

A search of the suspects located a loaded firearm with a prohibited over capacity magazine.

At the time of his arrest, the male suspect was on conditions not to possess any weapons or cell phones and remain in his residence at all times.

Isaiah ANNIS, age 22 from Whitby is charged with: Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device, Possession of a Loaded Firearm in a Vehicle, Possession of a Loaded Firearm, and Fail to Comply with Release Order x3.

Ajonnah-Destiny Collins-Obrien, age 19 from Whitby is charged with: Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device, Possession of a Loaded Firearm in a Vehicle, and Possession of a Loaded Firearm.

Both were held for a bail hearing.
