Male Arrested After Assaulting Three Victims in Bowmanville

A male is facing charges after he assaulted two males and a female in unprovoked attacks in Bowmanville.

On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at approximately 7:40 a.m., members of East Division responded to an assault call in the area of Mearns Avenue and Apple Blossom Avenue. Police received multiple reports that an unknown male had assaulted three persons separately in unprovoked attacks. Officers located the male on foot in the area and took him into custody without incident.

The victims, a 19-year-old male, 21-year-old female, and 50-year-old male, suffered minor injuries.

Dilaksan VIJEYAPALAN, age 24 from Clarington is charged with: Assault x3.
