Male Arrested After Ramming Police Cruiser with Stolen Vehicle in Ajax
A male is facing charges after ramming a police cruiser with a stolen vehicle while fleeing officers in Ajax.
On Thursday, June 11, 2026, at approximately 1:35 a.m., West Division members on proactive patrol observed a Ford pick-up truck driving dangerously in a parking lot in the area of Kingston Road and Westney Road. Officers attempted to contain the vehicle during a traffic stop, however, the suspect vehicle intentionally rammed a police cruiser and fled from officers.
A short time later, it was confirmed the suspect vehicle was stolen from a residence in Ajax.
Officers later located the suspect vehicle parked in the area of Bayly Street East and Burcher Road. The suspect vehicle was contained and the driver was taken into custody.
A 16-year-old male from Ajax is charged with: Impaired Operation, Impaired Operation – Exceed, Flight from Peace Officer, Dangerous Operation, Drive Motor Vehicle While Under Suspension, Possess Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000, and Fail to Comply with Release Order x2,
At the time of his arrest, the accused was on conditions not to operate any motor vehicle.
He was held for a bail hearing.
