Male Arrested After Sexual Assault and Exploitation Investigation in Whitby

A male is facing charges following a sexual assault and exploitation investigation in Whitby.

On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, investigators with the DRPS Special Victims Unit concluded an investigation into an adult male who reportedly sexually assaulted and exploited a 16-year-old female in 2021. The victim was employed by the suspect between July 2021 and October 2021 in Whitby.

Police have concerns there are other victims and are requesting anyone with information to come forward.

Ahmed ASHRAF, age 65 from Whitby is charged with: Sexual Assault x3, and Sexual Exploitation x3.

He was released on an Undertaking.
