Male Arrested Following Counterfeit Currency Investigation

An Oshawa male is facing multiple charges following a counterfeit currency investigation by the DRPS Financial Crimes Unit.

On Sunday, February 22, 2026, the suspect hired a taxi in Oshawa and requested transportation to a local convenience store. While inside the store, he used a counterfeit $100 bill to make a purchase. The suspect later re-entered the same taxi and paid the fare using a second counterfeit $100 bill.

On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, the male was located and successfully arrested without incident.

Dwain GLOVER, age 43, of Oshawa, is charged with: Fraud Under $5,000 x2, Uttering Counterfeit Money x2.

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
