Male Arrested Following Firearm Investigation in Beaverton
A male is facing firearm charges following an investigation by the Guns and Gangs Unit in Beaverton.
In August, 2026, investigators with the Guns and Gangs Unit (GGU) began an investigation into a suspect male after receiving information from the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) that he was importing unregulated firearm parts from the United States.
On Tuesday, September 1, 2026, investigators with the Guns and Gangs Unit (GGU) concluded their investigation and executed a search warrant at a residence in Beaverton. The suspect was located nearby and taken into custody without incident. Two rifles, magazines, and ammunition were located in the residence. The suspect does not hold a valid firearm licence (PAL).
Jason Courtney BIRARDA, age 40 from Brock is charged with: Possess Firearm - Knowingly Not Holding Licence x2.
He was held for a bail hearing.
