Male Arrested for Bank Fraud in Oshawa
A male is facing charges after attempting to fraudulently open bank accounts at multiple banks in Oshawa.
On Friday, June 19, 2026, at approximately 1:25 p.m., members of Central West Division responded to a fraud call at the Scotiabank located at 2630 Simcoe Street North. A male attended the bank and attempted to open an account using fraudulent identification. Officers arrived on scene and took the male into custody without incident.
Kyle Ryan CABRAL, age 39 from East Gwillimbury is charged with: Fraud Under $5000, Possess Identity Document of Another x3, Utter Forged Document, Fail to Comply with Probation Order x2, Personation to Gain Advantage x2, and Obtain Identity Information for Fraudulent Offence.
He was held for a bail hearing.
