Male Facing Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop in Oshawa
A male is facing drug trafficking charges following a traffic stop in Oshawa.
On Saturday, June 6, 2026, at approximately 12:20 a.m., members of East Division on proactive patrol initiated a traffic stop for excessive noise in the area of King Street and Eastlawn Street. Officers searched the vehicle after observing open liquor containers while speaking with the driver. As a result, over 48 grams of suspected cocaine was located and seized. The driver was taken into custody without incident.
Shemar Marvin HORSFORD, age 28 from Picton is charged with: Possess Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine), Vehicle Make Unnecessary Noise, Drive Motor Vehicle with Liquor Readily Available.
He was held for a bail hearing.
