Males Wanted Following Multiple Counterfeit Currency Frauds
Police are searching for two males following multiple counterfeit currency frauds.
On Thursday, February 12, 2026, a male attended the SportChek located at 2401 Regional Highway 2 in Clarington, and purchased items using fraudulent currency.
On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, the same male attended the Winners located at 1650 Victoria Street East in Whitby, and purchased items using fraudulent currency. A short time later the suspect, with a second male suspect, attended the Winners located at 1355 Kingston Road in Pickering, and returned the purchased items for legitimate currency.
The first suspect is described as: male, Brown, approximately 20-25 years-old, with long black hair, and a black moustache with goatee. He was wearing a black hat, North Face coat, ripped jeans, and white/black sneakers
The second suspect is described as: male, Black, approximately 20-25 years-old, with dark-coloured dreads. He was wearing eye glasses, a black coat, blue hoodie, and dark pants.
