One Male Arrested After Homicide in Port Perry

A 32-year-old male from Port Perry has died in Durham Region’s fourth homicide of 2026. 

On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at approximately 8:00 a.m., members from North Division responded to a sudden death call in the area of Water Street and Mary Street. Officers arrived on scene and located a male with traumatic injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim has been identified as Taylor John Frey, a 32-year-old from Port Perry.

The homicide unit began an investigation and identified a suspect, who was arrested at approximately 2:30 p.m., without incident. 
 
Ryan BULLOCK, a 33-year-old male from Port Perry is charged with Second Degree Murder.

He was held for a bail hearing. 

This is an isolated incident and there is no concern for public safety.
