Police Looking for Suspects After Shooting in Oshawa
Police are seeking information following a shooting investigation in Oshawa.
On Saturday, April 18, 2026, at approximately 4:30 p.m., members of Central East Division responded to an armed person call in the area of Court Street and Bruce Street. Durham Regional Police Service received multiple 911 calls reporting the sound of gunshots.
Officers attended the area and conducted an extensive search for victims and evidence, with assistance from the DRPS Drone Unit. Shortly after, police were notified that a male had attended a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. He was later transferred to a Toronto area trauma centre with serious, non life threatening injuries.
As the investigation continued, police received a report of a vehicle with a bullet hole and shattered windows parked in the area of Harmony Road North and King Street East. Officers attended and located a second male suffering from a gunshot wound inside a nearby residential unit. He was transported to a local hospital with serious, non life threatening injuries.
Police are continuing to search for two suspects who allegedly shot at the victims while they were in a vehicle.
