Two Arrested after Armed Home Invasion in Ajax

Two males are in custody following an armed home invasion and drug trafficking investigation in Ajax.

On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at approximately 3:30 a.m., members of West Division responded to an armed person call at a residence in the area of Kingston Road West and Westney Road North. Residents of the home contacted police after two suspects broke into their residence armed with handguns. The suspects fled in a vehicle prior to police arrival.  

Investigators identified two suspects and on Thursday, June 18, 2026, the West Division Crime Team, with the assistance of the DRPS Tactical Response Unit, Community Response Unit, East Division Crime Team and Intelligence Unit, executed search warrants at five locations in Durham and Toronto. 

During the search warrants, officers seized a firearm with two over capacity magazines, several rounds of ammunition, a quantity of drugs, including cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine, and various Schedule I pills. They also seized a large quantity of Canadian currency. 

Two males have been arrested and are facing multiple charges.

Wazir FOFILZEH, age 29 from Mississauga is charged with: Possess Restricted Firearm Knowing Possession Unauthorized; Point Firearmx2; Occupy Motor Vehicle with Firearm; Robbery with Firearm; Possess Firearm while Prohibited; Possess Ammunition Contrary to Order; Possession Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking; Possession Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking; and Possess Other Sched I for the Purpose of Trafficking; Possess Property Obtained by Crime.

At the time of his arrest, FOFILZEH was on a weapons prohibition and an order not to possess any ammunition. 

Ahmed ALI, age 30 from Oshawa is charged with: Possess Restricted Firearm Knowing Possession Unauthorized; Possession of a Prohibited Device or Weapon x3; and Possess Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking.

Both were held for a bail hearing.
