Two Youth Arrested After Armed Assault in Oshawa

Two male youth are facing charges following an armed assault in Oshawa.

On Saturday, August 22, 2026, at approximately 5:30 p.m., members of Central East Division responded to an unknown trouble call in the area of Glen Street and Malaga Road. Two males were reported chasing two other males while armed with knives. Both suspects fled as officers arrived on scene.

With the assistance of the Drone as First Responder (DFR), officers were able to track and locate both suspects before taking them into custody.

No injuries have been reported to police.

A 15-year-old male from Oshawa is charged with: Obstruct Peace Officer, Possess Weapon Dangerous, and Fail to Comply with YCJA Sentence.

At the time of his arrest, the 15-year-old male was on weapons prohibition conditions.

At the time of his arrest, the 15-year-old male was wanted on outstanding arrests warrants and bound by weapons prohibition conditions.

Both were held for a bail hearing.
