Wanted Male Arrested Following Firearm Investigation in Ajax

A wanted male who was arrested by the DRPS Gun and Gang Unit is facing further charges following a firearm investigation in Ajax.

On Friday, April 17, 2026, members of the Gun and Gang Unit completed an investigation into a male who was believed to be in possession of a firearm and wanted on assault and break-and-enter charges. 

Investigators located the suspect in Ajax and took him into custody without incident. Subsequently, a search warrant was executed at a residence in Ajax, where officers seized a loaded firearm with an overcapacity magazine and ammunition.

At the time of his arrest, the accused was on a weapons prohibition.

Dale BLAIR, age 40 from Ajax is charged with: Possess Firearm – No Licence, Possess Loaded Firearm, Possess Prohibited Device, Possess Firearm with Altered Serial Number, and Possess Firearm While Prohibited.

He was held for a bail hearing.
