Youth Arrested After Armed Robbery Investigation in Pickering
Police have arrested a male after an investigation into an armed robbery in Pickering.
On Thursday, January 29, 2026, at approximately 6:25 p.m., members of West Division responded to an armed robbery in the area of Westcreek Drive and Pine Grove Avenue. A male youth attended the area after making plans to purchase shoes from another male youth. The victim was confronted by three males wearing masks, who brandished a firearm and demanded cash. The suspects fled the area prior to police arrival.
The victim did not suffer any physical injuries.
On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, West Crime Team investigators, with the assistance of the Community Response Unit, attended a high school in Barrie and took one of the suspects into custody.
Two suspects remain outstanding.
A 14-year-old male from Barrie is charged with: Robbery with Firearm, and Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.
He was held for a bail hearing.
