Youth Arrested After Brandishing Imitation Firearm in Oshawa
A female youth is facing charges after brandishing an imitation firearm during an altercation in Oshawa.
On Thursday, April 23, 2026, at approximately 5:50 p.m., members of Central West Division responded to an armed person call in the area of Bridle Road and Northern Dancer Drive. A female youth brandished a firearm with an extended magazine to other youth after being involved in a verbal altercation. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival.
No injuries have been reported to police.
A short time later, officers located the suspect and took her into custody without incident. A search warrant was subsequently executed at a residence in the area, where officers seized a firearm that was confirmed to be an imitation Glock with extended magazine.
A 13-year-old female from Ajax is charged with: Possess Weapon Dangerous.
She was held for a bail hearing.
