Building Damaged after Single Motor Vehicle Collision in Port Perry

A building in Port Perry was significantly damaged after a driver suffered a medical episode and struck a building in Port Perry.

On Saturday June 28, 2025 at approximately 6:45 a.m., members from North Division were called to a single motor vehicle collision at 1869 Scugog St, Port Perry. A 63-year-old male was driving a grey Toyota Sienna van in the parking lot of a commercial building. He suffered a medical episode causing him to lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle struck the building, causing approximately $100,000 damage.

The driver did not sustain any injuries.

Members of the DRPS - Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to conduct an investigation due to the severity of the structural damage. This collision is still under investigation.
