Driver Suffers Serious Injuries in Single Motor Vehicle Collision
A 49-year-old male suffered serious injuries after a single motor vehicle collision in Whitby.
On Saturday June 28, 2025, at approximately 2:20 a.m., members from Central West Division were called to a single motor vehicle collision at Brock Street North and Clear Spring Road. A Chrysler 300 sedan was heading north on Brock Street when the driver lost control. The vehicle struck a traffic signal pole, crashed through a wooden fence, and came to a stop against a tree. The 49-year-old male driver was rushed to a Toronto-area trauma centre with life-threatening injuries. His condition has since been upgraded to stable. The vehicle also struck multiple vehicles in the parking lot of the Bull Pub and Grill in Whitby prior to the collision.
Members of the DRPS - Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to conduct an investigation. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in this collision; however, it is still under investigation.
