Female Arrested with Firearm in Pickering

Police have seized a firearm following the arrest of a 27-year-old female in Pickering.

On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at approximately 2:15 a.m., members of West Division were proactively patrolling the area of Brock Road and Rossland Road West when they observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. Officers conducted a traffic stop and while confirming her documents they observed a firearm in the vehicle.

The female driver was arrested without incident and the firearm was seized.

Yushan ZHOU, age 27, of Toronto, is charged with multiple offences, including: Occupy Motor Vehicle with Firearm; Posses Unloaded Firearm; Possess Prohibited / Restricted Weapon Knowing No Authority; Possess Restricted or Prohibited Firearm Knowingly Not Holding a License and Registration Certificate and Speeding.

She was held for a bail hearing.
