Help Identify Counterfeit Suspect

On April 2, 2025, at approximately 3:00 p.m., officers from West Division responded to a fraud in progress at the Best Buy located at 20 Kingston Road West in Ajax.

A male suspect attempted to make a purchase using counterfeit Canadian $20 bills. The store employee became suspicious when the texture of the bills felt unusual and noticed that each bill shared the same serial number. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival, leaving behind $240 in counterfeit bills.

The suspect is described as: male, Middle Eastern, 20-25 years of age, medium build, 6’0 tall, dark hair with moustache and goatee. He was wearing a grey tracksuit, white shoes and was carrying a black side bag.
