Male Arrested After Armed Commercial Robbery in Oshawa
A male has been arrested after an armed commercial robbery in Oshawa.
On Monday, July 7, 2025 members of East Division responded to a robbery at a convenience store in the area of King Street East and Townline Road South. A male suspect attended the store where an altercation began. The suspect pulled out a knife, threatened the employee and proceeded to steal a number of items before fleeing the area.
On Tuesday, July 8, 2025 members of the Robbery Unit located and arrested the suspect without incident.
A Criminal Code search warrant was executed at the residence of the accused where evidence was seized.
Ryan WANNAN, age 25 of Oshawa, is charged with: Robbery with Offensive Weapon, Possess Weapon for the Purpose of Committing an Offence, Possess Property Obtained by Crime not Exceeding $5000.00
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
