Male Arrested for Domestic Related Breaches
A 35-year-old male has been arrested for domestic-related breaches in Oshawa.
On Saturday, August 23, 2025 officers from Central East Division were conducting an investigation into a domestic-related incident when they learned the suspect was in the area of King Street West and Stevenson Road South. In taking the male into custody, he armed himself with a knife and barricaded himself in the rear of a police cruiser.
Further units attended to assist in de-escalating the male who was then safely taken into custody. At no point was there a threat to public safety.
A 35-year-old male from Oshawa is charged with: Fail to Comply with Undertaking x4 and Breach of Probation x2.
He was held for a bail hearing.
The name of the accused is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
