Male in Custody After Stabbing in Ajax

One male has been arrested after a stabbing in Ajax.

On Friday, September 5, 2025, at approximately 3:10 p.m., members from West Division responded to a stabbing in the area of Old Kingston Road and Elizabeth Street. Officers arrived on scene and located one victim suffering from a stab wound. The suspect had fled on foot prior to police arrival. The victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre and remains in stable condition.

With the assistance of DRPS Tactical Support Unit (TSU), officers were able to locate the suspect at which time he was taken into custody without incident.

The accused and victim are known to one another and this is an isolated incident.

The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

A 31-year-old male from Ajax is charged with: Aggravated Assault; Possess Weapons Dangerous and Assault with a Weapon. 

He was held for a bail hearing.
