Police Appeal for Witnesses after Hate Motivated Incident in Oshawa
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after hate-motivated graffiti was discovered in Oshawa.
On Sunday, June 15, 2025, at approximately 2:50 p.m., members from East Division responded to a mischief call in the area of Adelaide Avenue East and Townline Road North. The victim’s property was defaced by unknown suspect(s) with hateful and derogatory slurs. Investigators believe the victim’s home was specifically targeted and are appealing to anyone in the area who may have information to come forward.
We are deeply concerned and disheartened by this act of hate and property damage directed toward the 2SLGBTQI+ community and all those impacted by this senseless act. Everyone deserves to feel safe and accepted for who they are. An investigation is underway, and we are committed to ensuring those responsible are held accountable.
