Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a fraud investigation in Bowmanville.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a fraud investigation in Bowmanville.
On Saturday March 8, 2025, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the suspect arrived at the victim’s residence to pick up an item that was posted on an online marketplace. The suspect presented a screenshot as proof the e-transfer had been completed; however, this was later determined to be false.
The suspect also produced a fraudulent driver's license. Further investigation revealed the suspect was driving a red Nissan Rogue with stolen licence plates.
The suspect is described as: male, East Asian, 25-30 years of age
Police believe that there may be additional victims.
