Police Investigating Monday Morning Shooting in Whitby

Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Monday morning in Whitby.

On Monday, August 25, 2025, at approximately 2:45 a.m., members of Central West Division responded to the area of Victoria Street West and Halls Road South after multiple gunshots were heard. Officers arrived and located multiple shell casings in the area and bullet holes in a residence. Residents were home at the time of the shooting; no physical injuries were reported.

At this time, police believe this to be an isolated incident.

Investigators are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with video footage, including dashcam, to contact police. Specifically, anyone in the area of Victoria Street West between Lake Ridge Road and Jeffery Street between the hours of 2:15 a.m. and 2:45 a.m.
