Police Looking for Information After Attempted Home Invasion in Ajax
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after an attempted home invasion in Ajax.
On Thursday, August 7, 2025, at approximately 9:05 a.m., members of West Division responded to a suspicious person call in the area of Church Street North and Kingston Road West. The caller reported that two males, wearing medical masks, were sitting in a dark-colored vehicle in front of a residence on Darley Street in Ajax. Prior to police arriving on scene, both males exited the vehicle, one armed with a baseball bat, the other with bear spray, and ran toward the homeowner who was standing outside. The home owner ran inside and also called police. One of the males then kicked the inside entrance door and then ran away.
Officers attended the area but were unable to locate the suspects.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with video footage, including dashcam, in the area of Kearney Drive and Darley Street, between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025, to contact police.
At this time, investigators believe the incident to be isolated.
