Police Searching for Assault Suspect in Oshawa

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after an assault in Oshawa.
On Sunday, June 1, 2025, at around 10:30 p.m., officers from Central West Division responded to reports of an armed person near Steeplechase Street and Windfields Farm Drive. A man was seen walking west on Danztore Path when he approached two people walking in the opposite direction. As they passed each other, the man pulled out a knife and tried to stab one of them.
The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival. Numerous DRPS units, including K9, attended the area, however, they were unable to locate the suspect.
No physical injuries were reported.
The motive remains under investigation, and what led to the incident is still unknown. Anyone with video footage from this area is asked to come forward.
