Single Motor Vehicle Collision in Ajax

Police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying a male involved in a single motor vehicle collision.

On Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at approximately 3:15 p.m., members from West Division were called to a single motor vehicle collision involving an e-scooter at Kitney Drive just north of Clements Road West in Ajax.

A male was riding a Segway Ninebot Kick Scooter Max G2 northbound along the east side of the roadway when he lost control and fell, causing him to hit his head. He wasn’t wearing a helmet and suffered a serious head injury as a result. He was transported to a local-area hospital in life-threatening condition and then air lifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre where he remains unconscious and in critical condition.

The male did not have any identification on his person.  He is described as male, White, 45-60 years old, 6’ tall, approximately 220 pounds, bald head, and scruffy grey beard. He was wearing dark green corduroy shorts, prescription glasses, a faded black baseball hat with “Pinewood Toronto Studios” on the front, and black Reebok sneakers with white soles and red accents. Anyone with information on his identity is asked to contact police.

Members of the DRPS - Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to conduct an investigation. This collision is still under investigation.
