Suspects Flee from Police in Stolen Vehicle
Police are searching for two suspects after they fled from police in a stolen vehicle in Pickering.
On Sunday May 25, 2025, at approximately 1:00 p.m., members of West Division responded to a stolen vehicle call in the area of Highway 401 and Liverpool Road. The owner of the stolen vehicle contacted police after locating the vehicle in a plaza located at 1355 Kingston Road in Pickering.
Officers arrived and approached the vehicle; however, the vehicle fled the scene, driving over a sidewalk and exiting the parking lot at a high rate of speed. Due to public safety concerns, no pursuit was initiated. While fleeing, the suspect vehicle struck two parked vehicles.
A short time later, police received reports that the same vehicle mounted a curb near 1350 Fieldlight Boulevard in Pickering and was disabled. Two suspects fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival.
Officers set-up a perimeter and the DRPS K9 unit conducted a search of the area but the suspects were not located.
The suspects are described as:
Suspect #1 is described as male, White. He was wearing all black clothing.
Suspect #2 is described as male, White. He was wearing all black clothing.
The DRPS Project Attire Auto Theft Unit was notified and assisting with the investigation.
Project Attire is DRPS’ response to Ontario’s Preventing Auto Thefts (PAT) Grant program, which is designed to support new and enhanced crime-fighting measures.
