Armed Robbery at Oshawa Convenience Store

A male is in custody after making threats and robbing a convenience store in Oshawa.

On Saturday, February 17, 2024, at approximately 9:25 p.m., members of Central East Division responded to an armed robbery call at the Kwik Stop Convenience Store located at 433 Simcoe Street South, in Oshawa.  The suspect entered the business and made threats to harm the victim with a Taser, while demanding cash and lottery tickets. The victim did not observe a Taser or any other weapons.  The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival.  A short time later, officers located the suspect and took him into custody without incident.

Liam WILSON, age 18 of No Fixed Address is charged with: Robbery, Disguise with Intent, and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

He was held for a bail hearing.
