Cop Shop 2023
DRPS members joined forces with the Pickering Town Centre for the 18th annual Cop Shop on Wednesday December 6, 2023.
This year the event brought smiles to 48 participating kids, and warmed the hearts of all involved in this wonderful community event.
DRPS Chief Moreira welcomed members and participants as they sat down for a complimentary pizza lunch provided by East Side Mario’s. Organizer Cst. Robin Roychoudhury thanked all members for volunteering in this year’s Cop Shop before sending them off to see the big man himself – Santa!
Children were partnered with a DRPS member before heading off to find the perfect presents!
The children chosen for Cop Shop are selected from recommendations based on need, recognition of specific academic or sports achievement or because of volunteer efforts that are making a difference in the community.
The Pickering Town Centre generously provided each kid with a $250 gift card, stocking, voucher to have their photos with Santa and free gift wrapping. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible.
