Drug Warrants Lead to Multiple Arrests in Oshawa

Three males have been arrested for the sale of illegal psilocybin (magic mushroom) products at a business in Oshawa.

On Wednesday, December 6, 2023, members of the Central East Division Community Response Team executed a warrant at Fun Guyz, a business located at 9 Simcoe Street South in Oshawa.  Fun Guyz had been observed selling illegal psilocybin (magic mushroom) products.  One employee was located in the business at the time of the warrant and was arrested without incident.  Officers seized cash, a large amount of psilocybin products, and edibles in various forms valued at approximately $20,000. 

The following day, Thursday, December 7, 2023, the business was observed to have been re-open and operating again.  A second search warrant was sought and executed by the Central East Division Community Response Team.  The business owner and one employee were located inside, and taken into custody without incident.  Officers seized cash, a large amount of psilocybin products, and edibles in various forms valued at over $60,000.

Steve GASDEN, age 62 from Oshawa is charged with: Possess Controlled Drug or Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x1, and Possess Proceeds Obtained by Crime Under $5000 x1.

Istvan CSERE, age 26 from Richmond Hill is charged with: Possess Controlled Drug or Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x1, and Possess Proceeds Obtained by Crime Under $5000 x1.

Daniel HISCOCK, age 39 from Oshawa is charged with: Possess Controlled Drug or Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x1, and Possess Proceeds Obtained by Crime Under $5000 x1.

GASDEN was released on an Undertaking.  ISTVAN and HISCOCK were held for a bail hearing.
