This week the RIDE team worked in partnership with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Durham, as well as deployed auxiliary members, reaching nearly two thousand drivers across the Region of Durham. A portion of the incidents were reported by witnesses including workers at local businesses. This is a prime example of how it takes the entire community working together to improve the safety of our roadways. If you see something, say something. Impaired driving is an emergency, dial 911 to report suspected impaired drivers.

We remind motorists that we are working every night and impaired driving is never worth it – make the right choice, plan ahead and drive sober.

A complete list of those charged with Impaired/Exceed is posted on our website www.drps.ca.

Note: Under the Ontario Highway Traffic Act, anyone charged with a criminal impaired driving offence will have their driver’s licence suspended for ninety days
