Home Invasion with Firearm in Oshawa

Two male adults and one male youth are in custody after a home invasion in Oshawa Saturday evening.

On Saturday, February 17, 2024, at approximately 9:45 p.m., members of East Division responded to a break-and-enter call at a residence in the area of Southgate Drive and Townline Road South, in Oshawa.  Multiple suspects forced their way into a residence and threatened the homeowner with a firearm.  A physical altercation occurred and the victim was struck with a baseball bat.  The suspects attempted to flee the area; however, the first suspect was arrested at the residence without incident.  Two other suspects were taken into custody a short distance away without incident.  The victim was transported to a local area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are looking for a fourth suspect who is still outstanding.

At this time police believe this was an isolated incident and there are no concerns for public safety.

Marc NICHOLAS, age 40 of No Fixed Address is charged with numerous offences including: Break-and-Enter, Assault with a Weapon, Pointing a Firearm, Mischief Under $5000, and Use of an Imitation Firearm During an Offence.

Bradley EDMISTON, age 38 from Oshawa is charged with numerous offences including: Break-and-Enter, Assault with a Weapon, Pointing a Firearm, Mischief Under $5000 x2, Use of an Imitation Firearm During an Offence, Possession Contrary to Order, and Fail to Comply with Probation Order x2.

A 16-year-old male from Oshawa is charged with numerous offences including: Break-and-Enter, Assault with a Weapon, Pointing a Firearm, Mischief Under $5000, Use of an Imitation Firearm During an Offence, and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

All three were held for a bail hearing.
