Male and Female Facing Drug Trafficking Charges in Oshawa

A male and female are facing drug trafficking charges after they were found in possession of numerous drugs and drug paraphernalia in Oshawa.

On Wednesday, October 4, 2023, members of Central East Division Downtown Foot Patrol were conducting proactive policing in the downtown Oshawa area.  While in the area of Bloor Street East and Merritt Street, officers observed a male and female acting suspiciously.  Upon further investigation officers located numerous drugs and drug paraphernalia.  As a result, more than $49,000 worth of drugs were seized.

Luke MARTELL, age 35 of Oshawa has been charged with: Possess Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine) x1, Possess Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (methamphetamine) x1, Possess Other Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x1, Fail to Comply with Probation Order x1, Fail to Comply with Release Order x1.

Raechel LAWRENSON, age 44 of Oshawa has been charged with: Possess Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine) x1, Possess Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (methamphetamine) x1, Possess other Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x1, Fail to Comply with Release Order x2.

Both were held for a bail hearing.
