Male Armed with Taser Arrested at Tim Hortons

A male is in custody after making threats with a taser toward patrons at a Tim Hortons in Oshawa.

On Saturday, January 6, 2024, at approximately 5:25 p.m., members of Central East Division responded to an armed person call at the Tim Hortons coffee shop located at 415 Simcoe Street South in Oshawa.  A male inside of the Tim Hortons demanded that all patrons exit the store while brandishing a taser in a threatening manner.  Officers arrived on scene and located the male seated at a table.  The male was taken into custody without incident and the taser was seized.

Nicholas ROBBINS, age 31 of No Fixed Address is charged with: Possession of a Prohibited/Restricted Weapon x1, Possess Weapon Dangerous to Public x1, and Fail to Comply with Probation Order x4.

He was released on an Undertaking.
