Male Facing Charges of Indecent Exposure in Whitby

Police have arrested a male for exposing himself in front of minors in Whitby.

On Friday, April 5, 2024, at approximately 4:55 p.m., members of Central West Division responded to a sexual offence call in the area of Evergreen Drive and Canadian Oaks Drive, Whitby.  A male suspect exposed himself and began masturbating in a public area to two female youth.  The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival.  One of the youths was able to provide a detail description of the suspect and his vehicle to police. 

On Friday, April 19th, 2024, Members of Central West Division along with members from the Criminal Investigation Bureau were able to identify and locate the suspect, where he was taken into custody without incident.

Samad ABDUL GHAFFAR, age 30 of Oshawa is charged with: Indecent Act.

He was released on an Undertaking.

The victims did not sustain any physical injuries.

Police have concerns there may be other victims and are requesting anyone with information to come forward to investigators.
