Male Recovering after Being Stabbed by Two Youth in Oshawa

A 12- and 13-year-old, who are currently on release orders, are facing numerous charges after stabbing a male in Oshawa.

On Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at approximately 12:50 p.m., members of Central East Division responded to an armed person call in the area of John Street West and Centre Street South in Oshawa.  Two youth approached a male who was walking in the area and grabbed his cellphone.  When the victim attempted to get his phone back, one of the individuals stabbed him.   The suspects fled the area, however were taken into custody a short distance away.

A 13-year-old male from Oshawa has been charged with 10 offences including; Aggravated Assault, Robbery, Carry Concealed Weapon and Fail to Comply with Sentence (YCJA) X3.

A 12-year-old from Oshawa has been charged with Robbery, Possession of Weapon, Fail to Comply with Release Order and Fail to Comply with Sentence x2.
