Proactive Foot Patrol Leads to Drug Arrest in Oshawa

A 64-year-old male is facing drug charges after being arrested on an outstanding warrant.

On Tuesday, October 31, 2023, members of the Central East Division Downtown Foot Patrol were conducting proactive policing in the area of Centre Street South and Bagot Street in Oshawa when they observed a known male who was currently wanted on an outstanding warrant. The male was taken into custody without incident.  A search of the male revealed drug paraphernalia and numerous drugs, including fentanyl, with an estimated street value of more than $6,400.

Bogoslaw MADEJ, age 64 of No Fixed Address is charged with: Possess Other Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x2.

He was held for a bail hearing.
