Suspect Sought for Bank Fraud

A male suspect is being sought for bank fraud in Bowmanville.

On Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at approximately 2:00 p.m., an unknown male attended the TD Bank located at 570 Longworth Avenue, in Bowmanville. The male used a fake passport to attempt to open an account within the branch. Staff recognized the identification as fake and contacted police.  The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival.

The suspect is described as: male, West Asian, 24-29 years-old, approximately 5’7”, with dark hair, and a dark coloured beard.
