Three in Custody after Stabbing in Oshawa

Two males and one female are in custody after a male was stabbed in Oshawa.

On Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at approximately 3:10 p.m., members of Central East Division responded to an armed person call in the area of John Street East and Simcoe Street South in Oshawa.  The victim was assaulted by multiple parties before being stabbed with an edged weapon.  The male suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local area hospital.  The suspects fled prior to police arrival, but were arrested a short distance away.

Ryan GUSTAVE, age 49 of No Fixed Address is charged with: Assault with a Weapon x1, and Fail to Comply with Probation Order x1.

Lauren HICKEY, age 30 of No Fixed Address is charged with: Assault with a Weapon x1, and Fail to Comply with Probation Order x1.

Austin ELLIS, age 29 of No Fixed Address is charged with: Assault with a Weapon x1, Possess Weapon Dangerous to the Public x1, and Fail to Comply with Probation Order x3. 

All three parties were held for a bail hearing.
