Two Facing Charges after Pointing Firearm and Making Threats

A male and Female have been charged after pointing a firearm and making threats toward two males in Oshawa. 

On Thursday, October 5, 2023, at approximately 1:20 p.m., members of Central West Division responded to reports of an armed person in the area of Simcoe Street North and Conlin Road in Oshawa.  The victims reported that a male had pointed a firearm at them and made threats to kill them.  The male suspect fled the scene in a white Toyota prior to police arrival.  Police located the vehicle a short distance away and initiated a high-risk traffic stop.  A male and female were taken into custody without incident.  A replica firearm was located in the female’s purse.

The victims did not suffer any physical injuries.

Ahsanullah SALEHI, age 19 of Oshawa is charged with: Use of Imitation Firearm During Commission of an Offence x1, Possess Weapon for Committing Offence x1, Pointing a Firearm x2, Uttering Death Threats x2, Assault with a Weapon x1, Carry Concealed Weapon x1, Fail to Comply with Probation Order x1.

Sarah KHULMI, age 18 of Pickering is charged with: Carry Concealed Weapon x1.

SALEHI was held for a bail hearing.  KHULMI was released on an undertaking.
